How long have you been in the design industry? Since 2010—with an 8-year pause to take care of kiddos.

What are a few of your favorite things? Books, pedicures, the first snowstorm, and hazy IPAs.

What do you do in your spare time? I like to write, read, cook, and play games with my family. Some of our favorites are Ticket to Ride, Boggle, and Sushi Go! I also recently learned how to knit.

Do you have family or pets? I live with my husband Tyson, three kids (boy-girl twins Caden and Brooklyn and another boy, Nolan), and one guinea pig named Speedy.

What is one piece of advice or statement you want to make about the kitchen and bath industry (or remodeling)? The internet is nothing but a deep, dark rabbit hole. There are so many websites that it’s easy to get lost in ideas and advice. My best advice is to pick 2-4 websites to look through for products and inspiration. Everything else is off-limits!

Where are you from? The Twin Cities.

What motivates you to work hard? New projects: they often feel like an interesting puzzle to solve. Also, there’s nothing like a deadline for motivation.

What’s your favorite holiday? Thanksgiving.

What’s the most daring thing you’ve ever done? A friend and I road-tripped to Nashville by ourselves when we were 19. We didn’t have hotel reservations or anything but just showed up and figured it out. For people who know me, this is the opposite of my type-A personality!

What kitchen appliance do you use every day? The dishwasher.

If you had a warning label, what would yours say? Warning: will need two days to recover after excessive human interaction.

What was your first job? Babysitting.
