Share with us one unusual thing many people may not know about you? I worked in a scrap yard helping customers weigh aluminum cans and then I would dump them in a large machine that shredded the cans so they could be recycled. That was the first and last time I had to buy steeled toed boots for a job!

What are a few of your favorite things? I love dark chocolate, buying plants and beautiful planters, and spending time on the lakes in northern Wisconsin.

What do you do in your spare time? In my spare time I take Pilates classes, spend time with friends, play pickleball and make as much art as I can.

What is one piece of advice or statement you want to make about the kitchen and bath industry (or remodeling)? I think it’s really easy to get overwhelmed with the number of decisions you need to make when remodeling so it’s important to have an expert guide you on the journey. At least that is what I found with my own remodel! The advice and support from my designer was invaluable.

What is your favorite thing to do in Madison? I love hanging out at the Memorial Union terrace on summer days.

Where are you from? I grew up in Waupaca, WI

What motivates you to work hard? Whatever I am doing, I like to do it well. I am motivated to keep learning and growing every day.

What is your favorite game or sport to watch and play? I love to watch gymnastics, figure skating, synchronized diving, and hurdles. I love watching the Olympics!

What’s your favorite holiday? I love Christmas because I get to see my sisters, parents, nephew, and brothers in law.

What’s the most daring thing you’ve ever done? I started my own business! It was very scary, and the pandemic threw a wrench in my plans, but I don’t regret my decision to try it.

What kitchen appliance do you use every day? My espresso machine

If you had a warning label, what would yours say? Warning: If you start talking to me about plants, good luck getting me to stop!

What was your first job? I worked at Culvers in my hometown. For some reason, working the drive thru was my favorite shift.
