Kitchen Remodel

One of the main requirements this couple was looking for in their new kitchen was to gain more storage. To achieve this we used a full access (frameless) cabinets to insure every inch of the cabinet would be used. We added a pullout spice cabinet, pullout blind corner shelves, deep pots and pan drawers near the cooktop, and rollout shelves wherever possible. The current desk area was not being used; which once removed allowed for two tall pantries on either side of the refrigerator. For easy access to small appliances a tall tambour wall cabinet was added to the left of the sink. With all the new storage accessories the homeowners are now able to cook more efficiently.

To bring the contemporary influence in to the kitchen space, the homeowners chose a cabinet combination of horizontal Bamboo for the perimeter and Lyptus wood with a dark stain on the island. We also added aluminum doors with glass panels on the oven cabinet and pantry wall. White countertops were used throughout the space for a sleek and clean design. The wood window trim at the sink was eliminated and a 2″ x 12″ backsplash tile was installed in a stacked pattern to emphasize the contemporary feel. The stacked pattern installation along with the cabinetry design around the fireplace was chosen to complement the kitchen and unify the space.
