Kitchen Design 101
The kitchen is the home’s most popular room to remodel. At Bella Domicile we understand that a great kitchen begins with a well planned kitchen design. The process begins with a consultation with one of our professionally trained designers. The first visit usually begins in our spacious 5000 sq. ft. showroom in Fitchburg, WI. There you can see representations of products featured in realistic room settings which is an important first step in achieving a great kitchen design. Not only will you be able to see, touch and feel the wide array of products, you can also view portfolio binders of projects installed in Madison, Middleton, Janesville, Beloit, Milwaukee and South Central Wisconsin communities.
The design consultant will then schedule an appointment with you to visit your home to gather details about your project through an in-depth interview process. Details pertaining to family activities, lifestyles and the likes and dislikes of your existing kitchen design will be discussed. This discovery process provides the design consultant with meaningful information that reflects your needs and desires.
The next step is the design implementation phase. During this stage, the designer will create a design solution and will complete the design documentation. This documentation includes a scaled and detailed floor plan, elevation or perspective drawings and initial cost estimates for the investment. You are then invited back to the Fitchburg showroom for a presentation and in-depth discussion of the kitchen design.
Upon approval of the new design, plans and specifications, Bella Domicile can begin to create the kitchen of your dreams.
At some point during the early stages of the consultation a design retainer will be discussed. The design retainer is an agreement to retain our services for design work without an obligation to purchase product. The design retainer fee will be credited towards the cabinetry purchase amount if cabinetry is purchased within six months from the date of the agreement. The scope of the kitchen design work shall include client showroom visits and selections, jobsite and floor plan measurements, in-depth design consultations, proposed floor plan and elevations and/or perspective drawings, material specifications and estimate of costs.
