Care & Maintenance
WOOD SURFACES
Under normal use, your cabinetry should be cleaned at least once annually. We recommend that non-silicone polishes be applied with a soft lint-free cloth going with the grain of the wood. Do not use harsh chemicals, cleaners, or abrasive pads to clean your cabinetry, since they will dull or harm the finish. When necessary, this finish may be wiped with a clean damp cloth using a mild soap solution, wiped with clear water and dried with a soft, clean cloth.
USE CAUTION IN CLEANING CABINETRY
Water is the most harmful substance for cabinetry and furniture finishes. Spills should be wiped up immediately with a clean cloth, as well as any other type of moisture that may affect the cabinetry finish.
CABINET INTERIORS
The interiors of Crestwood and Designer cabinetry is covered with a film that is highly resistant to surface abrasion and most common household occurrences. Crestwood has a Supreme Coat printed interior film. Designer has a hard maple interior with a natural finish. Both interiors are easy to care for and to clean using a soft cloth or sponge moistened with pure soap suds and wiped dry with a soft cloth. Some interior parts are of finished wood material, and should be treated as wood surfaces, as outlined above.
HIGH PRESSURE/MELAMINE/THERMOFOIL DOORS
The surface of the doors, which is a tough, highly abrasive-resistant laminate, is easily cleaned with a clean damp cloth or sponge moistened with a mild soap, wiped with clear water and dried with a soft, clean cloth.
