Design Support

Design support position in Madison, WI

Job Summary: Works as a team with the sales designer to promote, sell and manage any of the products and services represented by Bella Domicile. The primary responsibility of the position is to provide design support and assistance to the sales process.

Designer Job Duties:

  • Chief Architect CAD drawings- floor plans, elevations, perspectives & molding details.
  • Estimate materials and assemble quotes.
  • Meet with sales designer to learn scope of projects.
  • Space planning & conceptual design.
  • Assemble appliance specification and acknowledge to the design.
  • Engineering design plans for ordering & proper execution.
  • Tile, hardware and lighting designs & material procurement.
  • Interior design services & selections both in the showroom & outside vendors.
  • Engage in new hire designer training
  • Keeping current with design trends.
  • Engage in continuing education.

Job Qualifications:

  • Minimum Education: Associate’s Degree or equivalent related to field of course instruction. Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum Experience: Several years of work experience, on-the-job training

Skills:

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret construction blue prints, construction documents & periodical journals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from supervisors, clients, customers and the general public.
  • Ability to take on multiple projects at the same time.
  • Must have the ability to use computer added drafting design tools.
  • Must be fluent with Microsoft Office Suite.
