Having remodeled most of this 1930's home, the owners realized it was time to upgrade the kitchen as well. Without the option for an addition, we needed to create more storage with the existing elements. By removing the soffits the owners were able to gain more storage vertically with taller wall cabinets. Also, by moving the oven into the work space, they were able to have a much larger pantry area.
In keeping with the style of their home, we chose a classic white painted finish on a door style that could be considered either craftsman or transitional. Unique features include the microwave drawer, under cabinet LED lighting, white subway tile and black granite.
It all works together to create a space that seems larger without the expense of an addition.
